生活瘋狂即興的2020,我們選擇忠於當下
——Life is Jazz, Play it Now!

臺灣最高藝文中心國家兩廳院,長期致力於推動藝術生活化,每年夏天吸引萬人參與的「兩廳院夏日爵士派對」,今年更來到第18屆。夏日爵士派對作為一個活動品牌,在爵士樂領域的成熟度已足夠進入下一階段:給觀眾的不再只是夏天的爵士樂,而是對夏天的生活想像。
 
延續2019年提出的活動品牌精神標語 “Life is Jazz, Play it Now”為視覺概念,運用粗獷隨興的版畫風格勾勒出爵士人演奏的即興情境,讓國家級單位盛邀大師級樂手的距離感更貼近生活。
 
標題如旋律般在畫面流動,字母既是一個個吹奏出的音符,也是被即興彈奏的樂器,加上隨節奏拋出的夏日元素,充滿律動感地在畫面各處落腳,描繪出此刻即生活、生活即爵士的即興精神。

The most majestic cultural center in Taiwan, NTCH, has been committed to its long-term endeavor to fuse arts into life. Each summer, “NTCH Summer Jazz Party” attracts tens of thousands of audience. Marching into its 18th edition, it shall establish a brand identity unique to its own via visual design in a more systematic fashion. What it bestows upon audience is not merely the Jazz of summer, but also the imagination toward the life of summer.

With “Life is Jazz, Play it Now” as the brand concept for 2020, the scenes of improvisation in Jazz performance are depicted via the rugged, improvised style of prints, breaking the distance of the Jazz maestros invited by national entity while summoning a tonality closer to life.

The title design in the key visual flows like rhythm. Each alphabet is a musical note as much as an instrument played in improvisation. Incorporated with the summertime elements dancing to the tempos, they dwell here and there in the picture dynamically, manifesting the spirit of improvisation that now is life and life is Jazz.
