新竹影像博物館經過整修於2022年初以「或者光盒子」(OR Lightbox)的新品牌面貌正式揭幕。
我們以「光的入口」為設計概念,象徵著品牌帶領更多觀眾進入影像的世界,打造完整的品牌識別系統。
自日治時期起,這棟近一世紀歷史的建築,影博館始終是地方的娛樂與文化核心,如今成為結合影廳、書店、餐酒館的複合空間。我們攫取了電影放映的投射光線意象,用粗至細的光線流動紋路,形塑出一座光的城門。入口也是影廳、書店、餐酒館的共同識別元素。
穿過光的入口,認識或者光盒子兼容文化、歷史與娛樂的理念,也認識一座城市的身世。

After renovation, the Image Museum of Hsinchu City was unveiled in the early 2022 with a new brand “OR Lightbox.” Themed with the design of “light portal,” it symbolizes a brand that guides more audience to the realm of images, giving birth to a complete brand identity system.

Ever since the Japanese rule, the architecture standing for nearly a century, the Image Museum of Hsinchu City, has been the local hub for entertainment and culture. Today, it stands as a fusion space with cinema, bookstore, and bistro combined. The imagery of light projection of screening is harnessed to carve out the city gates of light using patterns of flowing light from thick to thin. The portal is also the identity element shared by the cinema, the bookstore, and the bistro.

Teleporting through the light portal, we shall appreciate the inclusive philosophy of OR Lightbox that absorbs culture, history, and entertainment, as well as the legacy of a city.
