成立於2012年的台灣文具設計品牌「物外YSTUDIO」,經歷十年時光,從台灣在地出發,將對材質與簡約設計的理念逐步擴散至全球各地。十年初衷不改,物外YSTUDIO始終專注在恆久洗鍊的書寫工具設計,持續思考書寫和文具體驗所帶來的重量平衡。

以品牌標語「文字的重量」為系列影像起點,我們為物外所製作的品牌系列形象影片,省思品牌十年的積累,從新生代的設計品牌出發,蔓延至世界各地,成為俐落出師的匠人形象。

對物外來說,動筆是為了留下文字的重量。
有些人寫出歷史,有些人寫下生涯,有些人要留下文化。不同的人都留下了不同熱情的筆觸。
而只有一次的人生,透過塑造鑄筆師的品牌擬人化角色,也邀請每一個人對自己的人生動筆。

Established in 2012, the Taiwanese stationery design brand "YSTUDIO" has spent a decade evolving from a local Taiwanese brand to one that spreads its philosophy of material and minimalist design worldwide. Throughout these ten years, YSTUDIO has remained steadfast in its dedication to designing enduring, refined writing tools, continually contemplating the balance of weight that writing and stationery experiences bring.

Inspired by the brand slogan "The Weight of Words," we created a series of brand image films for YSTUDIO, reflecting on the brand's decade-long accumulation. Starting as an emerging design brand, it has now extended globally, embodying the image of a master craftsman with sharp, polished skills.

For YSTUDIO, writing is meant to leave behind the weight of words. Some people write history, some write their careers, and some aim to preserve culture. Different individuals leave behind their passionate strokes.
With only one life to live, we invite everyone to start writing their own story, symbolized by the personified character of the master pen maker.
物外YSTUDIO成立十年時光,專注於打造簡約、質地洗鍊、重量均衡的文具設計。在十周年之際,我們以形象影片回應品牌標語「文字的重量」,提出文字如何秤重的本質提問,展現出物外品牌十年不變的匠人精神。
影片中,將物外品牌擬人化為鑄筆師,在實驗室中透過擷取書信文字上的詞彙,經過測量、秤重、冶煉,最終打造出物外經典的鋼筆為故事。字如人生,筆為過程,透過奇幻詩意的影像口吻烘托口白所說:「人生不會只有一種成分,但只能寫出一回人生。」的主旨,一一揭露物外YSTUDIO專注於材質、設計的品牌精神,為物外十周年奠定更為深邃的品牌內涵,終能鑄就手中沉重均衡,流利游移的文具。

YStudio has spent the past ten years dedicated to creating simple, refined, and well-balanced stationery designs. On the occasion of our 10th anniversary, we respond to our brand slogan "The Weight of Words" with a conceptual film, posing the fundamental question of how words are weighed, showcasing the unwavering craftsmanship spirit of the YStudio brand over the decade.
In the film, YStudio is personified as a master pen maker. In a laboratory setting, the story follows the process of extracting words from letters, measuring, weighing, and refining them to ultimately craft YStudio's classic fountain pen. The narrative likens words to life and the pen to the process, highlighted by a poetic and whimsical visual tone. The narration emphasizes, "Life will never be composed of a single element, but you can only write one life," revealing YStudio's dedication to materials and design. This deepens the brand's essence on its 10th anniversary, leading to the creation of well-balanced, smoothly flowing stationery that feels substantial in hand.

How does a pen become an extension of a creator's will, from a dish, a dance, a carved dragon, to a design detail? It can be simple yet meticulously refined.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of YStudio, a boutique stationery brand from Taiwan, we have created a brand image video entitled "The Stroke of Creators." By inviting four internationally acclaimed masters from different fields, we delve into the passion and stories behind their creations.
Whether it's expressing oneself through movements on stage, capturing scents with a spoon, or revealing truths with a paintbrush, everyone is a creator. Your passion, sweat, commitment, or beliefs are the brushstrokes you leave behind.
